The 32-year-old fitness bunny had a serious accident in 2021 that left her with multiple injuries and a lengthy recovery process. Sbhale Mpisane, who continues to wear a moon boot due to the injuries sustained in the near-fatal crash, shared that she participated in an event that put her physical fitness to the test.

Mpisane participated in the 2025 Mandela Day Walk & Run on Saturday, 19 July 2025. The event was held at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Distances included a 21.1km, 10km and 5km races.

She shared content from the event, together with an inspirational caption.

“I don’t just show up because it’s easy; I show up because I refuse to give up. No matter the obstacles in my way, I keep moving forward. I run. I fight. My hope is that my journey inspires you to ask yourself, ‘If she can do it, what’s stopping me?’ That’s the inspiration I hope to pass on,” part of the caption reads.

Sbahle shared how she persevered despite some swelling in her injured leg. She signed off by encouraging her followers not to give up on themselves.

“My marathon walking pace was at peak this weekend… so much so that many came to applaud me for finishing ahead of them. But truth be told, I swelled up, but the mission didn’t stop. I am a warrior at heart. Don’t give up on yourself, no matter what. It’s hard, it's painful but rewarding 🙌🏽 agree?!!” Sbahle wrote.
