Bathong, Sorisha Naidoo, has been in showbiz for a very long time, but the catch is that she looks way different from when she made her debut on TV. The RHOD star hogged headlines after a video of her younger self went viral on social media.

Recently, an online user @AphiweMame posted a clip of Naidoo back when she played the role of Shanti Maharaj on Home Affairs in 2005. Many were stunned by how gorgeous and dark-skinned she looked when she was younger and before deciding to lighten her skin.

Though many were shook by her bleaching, in 2018, during an interview with Drum magazine, Naidoo explained why she decided to bleach her skin after she was criticised for her dark-skin, especially when she won Miss Indian South Africa in 2022.

"I have never shared this, but these comments about my skin really did hurt me and my self-esteem. I knew I was worthy of winning that pageant crown because I am beautiful and intelligent, but I was really shocked by the discrimination, as if a dark skin girl is not supposed to win such pageants," she said.
