Veteran actor Thapelo Mokoena has given fans a behind-the-scenes look at his appearance in the highly anticipated Season 2 of the Netflix series Fatal Seduction. Mokoena left fans in awe after he shared a picture showing his transformation for his role as Leonard Mahlati in the Netflix series.
The actor and entrepreneur is part of the returning cast for Fatal Seduction Season 2, which will premiere on 15 August 2025. Mokoena will reprise his role as Leonard Mahlati, a judge married to a law professor, Nandi, played by Kgomotoso Christopher. Thapelo Mokoena unrecognisable in Fatal Seduction transformation
Taking to his Instagram account on Thursday, 24 July 2025, Thapelo Mokoena shared a picture of himself with hair instead of his signature bald cut. He also spotted a black beard instead of his usual grey. The actor who usually has flawless skin had dark blemishes on his face.

He paired the picture with a caption reflecting on how acting can be therapeutic.
“One Set At a Time 🎬 There’s something extremely therapeutic about being able to leave yourself at the door to authentically embody a human by design, a character,” he wrote.
Mokoena marvelled at his and other actors’ ability to embody a character and then leave it once they finish recording either for the day or the series. He added:
“Their trials & tribulations, their triumphs, their evolutions. Only to leave them at the door again & pick yourself up at the end of the day. Pure organised madness, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Now play that & repeat for months on end. That’s the life of an Artist. From Life to Sets it all matters. It’s all for the Love of humanity & for the Love of the Game, Storytelling 🎬”

Talented actor Warren Masemola joined the cast of Fatal Seduction as a ruthless Minister of Police, aiming for the Deputy Presidency.
Two talented actresses were also announced as part of the new cast members. One will play Masemola's wife, Delisiwe Vilakazi and the other his fiercely loyal assistant, Precious.
