Renowned gospel singer Benjamin Dube could lose nearly R1 million to pay off a debt from an equipment and technical company.
Dube, who recently made headlines when he announced his departure from the Spirit of Praise collective, could be sued.
The fan-favourite South African pastor who is mourning his close friend, Dr SD Gumbi, has reportedly breached his verbal agreement.
City Press reported on its X account on Sunday, 27 July, that the popular pastor could have his assets auctioned off to pay the R1 million debt. Dube is accused of going back on his verbal agreement to pay for Gearhouse's music equipment and production.

The publication states that Gearhouse claims in a letter of demand that Dube violated their verbal agreement and could be sued for R1 million.
The renowned gospel artist recently paid tribute to legendary pastor Dr SD Gumbi on his X account.
"Oh, my Lord. We were truly honoured by God to have this gift. The African general Reverend DR SD Gumbi will always be with us.
"Oh, man💔💔💜🤍. This is a kingdom giant. Dr SD Gumbi," said Dube.

Pearl Modiadie sues the SABC for R3.5 million
