Internationally acclaimed South African DJs, The Major League DJz, took to social media to applaud the EFF for going all out to celebrate the milestone. The hitmakers also celebrated the controversial political party's birthday. The post read:

"Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top. And they gon' shine, homie, until everyone's hearts stop. Well Done @EFFSouthAfrica and happy birthday."

The Major League DJz are not the only celebrities who responded to the EFF's viral 12th-anniversary in Cape Town. Outspoken radio personality Sizwe Dhlomo also reshared the viral pictures and praised the political party for putting together the best event. He wrote:

Julius Malema invites General Mkhwanazi to join the EFF

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president Julius Malema was roasted for inviting KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to join the Red Berets.

Malema was speaking at the party's 12th-anniversary celebrations in Khayelitsha in the Cape Flats on 26 July 2025. Malema sang the praises of Mkhwanazi and said he took a bold stance against police corruption and political interference.
