Trust MaWhoo to nail almost all of her performances. The amapiano music sensation recently went viral following a performance at Kelvin Momo's One Man Show.

The amapiano singer performed the hit song Izono. The song was a result of the collaborative efforts of Kelvin Momo, MaWhoo, Babalwa M and Chley. The hit was taken from Momo's 2022 album, Amukelani.

MaWhoo and Momo have worked on several songs in the past, such as Amaphupho, Qhoqhoho and Makhelwane, just to name a few.

MaWhoo shared valuable advice for women about navigating the challenging music industry. MaWhoo revealed that she was bullied when she entered the music industry.

“There was a time when people made me do music and sounds that didn’t speak to me. I couldn’t express myself fully,” she said.
"As a woman, stand your ground. Don't please others be favoured or sell your would. Teach people to respect you and your decisions. Being part of equal shows I'm seen and doing something right," she added.

MaWhoo embroiled in R1million lawsuit

In a previous report from Briefly News, MaWhoo faced legal action after she was served with a letter of demand on 16 May 2025 by Blue Screen Entertainment. The singer allegedly made some controversial remarks about the organisers of the event. Blue Screen gave MaWhoo until 19 May 2025 to retract and apologise. However, MaWhoo never uttered a word, so they took things further by filing the lawsuit.

The company claimed that MaWhoo's statements were "reckless and unfounded", adding that its reputation was harmed. The company further demanded "R1 million in damages, interest at 15.5% per annum, and legal costs on an attorney-client scale."
