South African actress Anele Zondo earned praise after showing off her rapping skills. The former The River actress left netizens impressed after previewing her upcoming song Bhampa.

Anele Zondo recently topped social media trending charts after sharing a kiss with L-Tido on an episode of his podcast. Now, the multi-talented actress has social media buzzing after dropping a video of her performing a verse from her new song Bhampa.

Taking to her X account on Sunday, 27 July 2025, Anele Zondo, who goes by the moniker Ney the Bae in music circles, shared a video of herself rapping a verse from her unreleased song titled Bhampa. The video was captioned with one of the bars:

In the video, Anele Zondo dropped braggadocious bars about her not being on the same level as her SA Hip Hop peers. Part of her verse goes:

“First of all, I can't shake your hand/Always spitting no thanks to your man/Always touched your bestie is a fan/Always stalking pictures on my gram/All about my business going ham.”

She goes on to praise her looks and endless flow, and drops a double entendre linking her DNA to the famous tagline for SABC1.

“DNA Mzansi fo sho,” she raps before the snippet ends.

Anele Zondo didn’t provide any details on when the song will be officially released.
