Yoh, Anele Mdoda didn’t hold back from blasting Simphiwe Dana after the damning claims she made on social media. The South African broadcaster had something to say to the songstress after she came for Nomzamo Mbatha and the Shaka iLembe team.

On Monday, 28 July 2025, the 947 radio host, who previously had a heated debate with actress Dineo Langa on X (formerly Twitter) in June 2025, took a jab at Dana on social media.

In her tweet, Mdoda jokingly wrote that actress Baby Cele should lawyer up after she wore a similar Africentric hairstyle to the one the Ndiredi hitmaker often wears. Anele posted a screenshot of Baby Cele alongside her post.

Since the whole hair drama started on social media regarding Simphiwe Dana feeling unappreciated and acknowledged for the Africentrice hairstyles, which many productions show off on TV, former Gomora actress Sannah Mchunu also mocked the songstress for coming at Nomzamo Mbatha on social media.

In her Instagram post, she shared on Monday, 28 July 2025, she shared two separate shady pictures, poking fun at the Ndiredi singer. She referred to her using the hit 2004 song, saying she was 'Ndirediiii.'

"What are you guys doing to Ndirediii?" she said in one post, sharing the screenshot of Dana's post.

In another, Sannah Mchunu, who nailed the role of Zodwa on the Mzansi Magic drama series, Gomora, posted a photo of her donning a similar hairdo, joking that she should have also asked for Dana's permission.
