South African businessman Malcolm X set tongues wagging after seemingly implicating himself during an exclusive interview with eNCA journalist Pule Letshwiti-Jones. The revelation left Mzansi, including radio host and club wheel-spinner DJ Warras, stunned.
Malcolm X made the bombshell revelation that he had called the then-Hawks boss Godfrey Lebeya on the day businessman Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe was arrested in December 2024 in connection with the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart. Katiso Molefe is currently in custody for allegedly masterminding the murder of DJ Sumbody.
Although Lebeya admitted receiving the call, he has denied interfering in any way with Molefe’s arrest.

“Cha guys 😂😂😂 What the hell is going on? Kwenzakalani kahle kahle? 😓😭 I’m so confused. People are just naming themselves and implicating themselves in ish they should not be doing, ngathi - it’s just okay to call the head of the Hawks to verify arrests? Umgane wabo yini? They’re confessing as though they were just calling to ask – ‘Ziwa’kuphi?’”

In the comments section, several netizens discussed the power of money and how it gives access. Others reminded Warras of the syndicate mentioned by General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi in his bombshell press briefing.
Here are some of the reactions:
@mothusi_nobhala explained:
“In a world of capitalists, you will understand that business people control politicians, executives and judges. In a world of communists, it is the politicians, executives and judges who control business people.”
@PrinceDikela said:
“Mkhwanazi spoke about a syndicate, politicians, and businesses controlling the whole thing. Look at the headlines: A businessman says he called ĤAWKS head.”
@komenotorie joked:
“Nna, I'm tired, I'm just gonna watch these plays nje. Next, we're gonna hear Warras called Cupcake about a potential cow buyer with dollars🤣🤞🏾This commission is too slow for my liking 😭”
@KK_beatz1 said:
“It's Alarming how a lot of these businesspeople are implicated in things. But what's worse is how many more people are going to go down for 'Stan en kyk' while all of this was going down? Because people are defeating the ends of justice.”
