South African social media influencer Lasizwe Dambuza had many netizens emotional as he reflected on how he started off his career as a content creator with his fans and followers.

On Monday, 28 July 2025, the star who previously opened up about his 2021 R2 million scandal on social media recently went on Instagram to share a short story about his humble beginnings as he goes overseas for a vacation.

Dambuza shared in the post that as he was sitting in the aeroplane in the business class section, he went down memory lane and reflected on how he got where he is now career-wise. He also shared a clip of one of his YouTube videos that he created when he was still living at his mother's house.

Lasizwe also advises his fans that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and always fight to get it.

"As I fly out, I remember that young boy in his mother’s house (Last Frame) making videos in his bedroom. Anything is possible, my skat! Let’s chase summer and shake isibuno orkant." he wrote.

Lasizwe opens up about the day his mom passed on

While he reflected on how his career started, the content creator, who was a guest on DJ Sbu's podcast, The Hustlers Corner, in 2024, opened up about how his biological mom passed away, saying she had accompanied him to the barbershop to get a haircut.

In 2016, Lasizwe was preparing for his matric dance, and he revealed that his mom spent her last money to make sure that he had a great day. He described the day as "weird" as she died from a heart attack that very day.

"I was cutting my hair and when I looked back at her on the mirror, she collapsed. I saw her take her last breath," he revealed.

Lasizwe speaks on his father's passing

In a previous report from Briefly News, Lasizwe was left shattered by the passing of his father. He posted the tragic passing on social media, saying he was very confused by it. As a result, Lasizwe lost both parents, having also spoken about his mom's death.

"My last alive parent, my dad has passed on. I am numb and so confused! I am shattered! First my mom, now my dad!" he said.
