It is not every day you see parents actively supporting their children's interests in the adult business. Award-winning South African actress Rami Chuene sparked discourse over her alleged support for her daughter's OnlyFans career.
In October 2019, 23-year-old Nthateng Chuene took to Twitter (X) to announce that she had started an OnlyFans account. Now, usually, some young people would be wary about announcing such on a public platform where their parents usually roam around. However, for the former Rhodes University student, she was not shy to do so.
In fact, it was like she knew she would be getting a co-sign from her mother. The post divided the internet, and it was a mess back then - and now!

Another user, @neo_mshibe, re-shared a screenshot of Rami Chuene promoting her daughter's account, with the caption: "Rami was supporting her 23-year-old daughter. The hashtag is killing me."
Rami joked about being forced to post the account, but it was her hashtag that scaught many people off guard.

At the time, some people saw nothing wrong with this. Like @Akhona_PF, who said, "I honestly see nothing wrong and weird with Rami Chuene supporting and promoting her daughter's OnlyFans account. Maybe it's because I grew up with a mother who is supportive of everything I do."
Another user, @Lephi, said, "Having a mom like Rami Chuene must be the most liberating thing ever. We suffer a lot, trying not to kill our parents (who have abantu bazothini syndrome) with stress, heart attacks etc."
Below are some of the current reactions from people:
