According to the American publication PEOPLE, a source close to the movie claimed that it was a "budding romance in the early stages," and that they "enjoyed each other's company," adding:

"It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other."

Liam and Pamela, who share a love for literature, further fuelled speculation on the morning of 29 July, 2025, when they pretended to get caught sharing a passionate kiss on America's Today show. However, the former Baywatch actress planted a sweet peck on Liam's cheek on the red carpet in London on 22 July, 2025.

The Today show's host, Craig Melvin, didn't mince his words when he asked the co-stars about their relationship status.

Liam, not providing a straightforward answer, responded:

"I'd never met Pamela before. We met on set, and we discovered a lovely, budding chemistry as two actors. It was like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not try to shape it. Let's just allow it to unfold,' and that's what we've done."
