The 4th annual Basadi In Music Awards (BIMA) took place this past weekend at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein. The award celebrations recognise the powerful female musicians, making a significant contributions to the South African music scene.
Liyema Pantsi showed off her two trophies at the award ceremony in a cheeky video mimicking the US rapper Kanye West. In the video, Liyema recited Kanye's famous words which said, "Everybody asked me what would I do if I didn't win. I guess we'll never know."
What awards did Liyema win at the BIMA?
The talented singer won the awards for Collaboration of the Year for her single with Cici titled Impumelelo and SAMRO Songwriter of the Year for her hit song Let Me Be.
