Bathong, so much for him getting helped only to bite the hand that supported him. South African popular street dweller Alostro stunned many netizens after he made damning accusations about the Pretoria-based star DJ Karri.

Recently, an online user @ThisIsColbert posted an online podcast interview of Alostro on Spreading Humour with Seemah and Yanda Woods on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, 3 August 2025.

In the trending clip, Alostro was heard making allegations that left many netizens upset. The nyaope addict claimed that DJ Karri, who had previously put him in a rehabilitation centre, was exploiting him and also using him for advertising to make more money for himself.

During the interview, Alostro came with his lawyer and manager, who were alleged witnesses regarding the allegations he had made about the popular muso.

Netizens blasted Alostro for lying about DJ Karri

Many netizens were upset and angered by Alostro's lies about the muso who helped him get a job, as they flooded the comment section, defending the Pretoria-born DJ. Here's what they had to say:

DJ Alostro takes action to help addicts

After Alostro's viral videos, in 2024, DJ Karri took Alostro for a makeover, updating his wardrobe and visiting Legends Barber for a clean shave. Surprisingly, the help did not end there as the star took to social media to track down his family before he was admitted into rehab. At the time he posted, after visiting a dentist with Alostro.

In recent years, DJ Karri has proved to many that he is more than a celebrity with his life away from the spotlight. He has also helped troubled former Mamelodi Sundowns star Lerato Chabangu.

The star called for help on his I Blew It episode, and DJ Karri quickly reached out. Against his call for help, DJ Karri visited him on several occasions. Reports suggest that he is now receiving help in a rehabilitation facility, but little is known about whether DJ Karri was involved.
