For some time now, viewers have been voicing their frustrations over the bad acting on Generations: The Legacy. Aspiring actress Jada McGowan was the latest actor to get roasted on social media following a viral episode.

Now, she has since reacted to the hate she has been receiving, pleading with people to let her be.

Jada responds to critics

The actress and model, who portrays the role of Melissa on the hit telenovela, admitted to Daily Sun that she used to engage with the hateful comments from social media users and would often cry.

Jada acts alongside veteran actress Tinah Mnumzana, but their most viral scene had peeps talking. However, Jada has mastered the art of turning hate into motivation and has been working harder to prove the hater wrong

Jada told the publication that the negativity and criticism do not have that much effect on her.

"I went to film school. I studied live performance. So, people must get off my case. I respect my craft. The people on Generations have even told me, 'We can see you love this. You're getting better."

She even stated that she has been receiving positive comments from other people. However, when she engages in the negative ones, she gets overcome by emotions.

"I opened and even responded to some of the comments, as I want people to know I engage. I ended up crying while replying to comments. But I'm not going to sit back and do nothing. The hate encourages me to do better."

Jada McGowan said her passion for acting runs deep, and she understands that it needs a bit of polishing because her acting is not perfect. She remains optimistic that one day, she will perfect her acting.

"I love acting, and I know I am not perfect. But what I know is I'm definitely. going to improve, and I am going to be successful in this industry."

The 22-year-old actress shared how she manifested this job, and even started fasting. She told the publication that she fasted for five days at the beginning of the year. However, when she broke her fast, she landed the acting gig on the SABC 1 show.

Some of the negative comments from users include "I swear they’re doing this on purpose," to "Ma looks annoyed by the acting."
