Halala! Award-winning Amapiano producer and DJ Uncle Waffles has landed another brand deal, this time with globally acclaimed sportswear manufacturer Adidas. The eSwatini-born artist was announced by Adidas as part of the brand's global campaign.

Uncle Waffles often stirs online chatter with her provocative clothing. This time, the Tanzania hitmaker sparked conversation after being roped in by Adidas as part of a global campaign, joining a roster of iconic globally recognised entertainers.

On Monday, 11 August 2025, the official Adidas Instagram account announced Uncle Waffles as the latest addition to its roster of entertainers. Adidas tagged Uncle Waffles and the Adidas South Africa official Instagram account and announced that the Baphi producer had been roped in as part of the sportswear brand’s global Superstar: The Original campaign. Uncle Waffles will appear alongside an impressive roster of internationally acclaimed entertainers such as American rappers Missy Elliot and GloRilla, talented actor Samuel L. Jackson, NBA player Anthony Edwards, American professional skater Mark Gonzalez and music group BLACKPINK member JENNIE. This is a lineup of superstars that the sportswear brand refers to as its Original Icons.

As part of the announcement and Adidas’ global Superstar: The Original campaign, Uncle Waffles is featured in black and white photos rocking the Superstar sneaker in its classic colourway.
