Amapiano star Kelvin Momo disappointed South Africans and his fans over the weekend when he failed to fulfill a booking once again.

The musician, who previously made headlines when he was sued for R3 million for failing to pitch at his Australian shows, has ditched the Sun City Resort.

Fans of the star were not surprised as the artist also made headlines in May 2025, when they feared he wouldn't make it to the Red Bull Symphonic.

Social media user @BlackZA shared a screenshot of Sun City Resort's statement on his X account on Saturday, 16 August 2025.

The popular musician and his manager did not respond to any of Sun City’s requests for an update at the time of publishing this article.
