Yoh, an explosive drama that ensued on social media between the former Uzalo actor Glen Gabela and his stepdaughter Nonhlanhla Nsele, after she made some damning claims about the star.
According to Sunday World, the actor who recently asked for financial help from the public was bashed by his late ex-wife's daughter after he claimed that she divorced him because he couldn't afford a house in the suburbs.
In the social media rant, Nsele claimed that Gabela is a liar and a deadbeat father who is eager to tarnish her mother's name in public since she couldn't speak for herself as she passed away.
"I'm really upset about Glen spreading falsehoods about my mom, ngoMama! It's ironic, considering he's just starting these interviews right after she died. The lies! Glen has always been distant. He knows where we are and no one has stopped him from having a relationship with us. My mother built a house for us, and even after she passed away, he chose to stay away. It's so painful! I don’t think he understands how much he's hurting us. The lies, people insulting our mom, and even worse, she can’t defend herself," Nsele said.

In response to these claims, Gabela denied them outright and accused his stepdaughter of lying. He further mentioned that he doesn't know what kind of agenda Nsele has against him.
He said:
"I know her; she’s my stepdaughter. She was only 14 when I met her. Her real father, a Zimbabwean, had already passed away, so I took her under my wing. I treated her like my child, and there was never any bad blood between us. But I can’t say we were very close because her paternal aunt took her away and raised her, leaving me with my younger daughter."

The actor further mentioned that he wishes to be there at the podcast interview that Nonhlanhla claimed to be going to, in order to expose him.
"I’ve seen her attacks, and I’m disappointed. She’s lying, and she knows it. Back when I had money, I made sure my wife and the kids were taken care of. I was never absent from their lives. Even when she was taken from me, she was well looked after.
"I don’t understand why she’s doing this or what her agenda is. I’ve tried to reach out to her, but I’ve failed. I don’t even have her contact details, and she’s impossible to pin down. The last time I heard from her, she was in Botswana. I don’t even know when she came back," he said.
