As a result, when she got pregnant with their second child, she was overwhelmed with emotion. She shared how she had endured insensitive questions, but eventually got pregnant with their first child after an undisclosed surgery.
“OK, it's my son's birthday today. I'm a mess because I remember when I found out I was pregnant with him. I couldn't believe it. I was like, ‘God has remembered me again?’ OK, quick backstory, I struggled to fall pregnant. I had infertility issues, and I remember when we tried quite a couple of times, and you know, just getting a lot of questions from, you know, family, in-laws, social media, there was such pressure. It was even more pressure because Dumi had kids, so everything was pointing towards me,” she recounted.
Dr Ziphozenkosi Mthembu disclosed why they named their second child Neyameinkosi.
“So, when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I think I broke down because I was like, Lord, you remembered me again. Again. I'm so grateful to God my son is two today. And I was content. I was content with Nani. I was content, content with Nani. I always wanted lots of children, but I was like, no, clearly, it's not my portion. And when I found out I was pregnant with Yami, I thought, Lord, I thank you. I don’t know what I did to deserve such grace to be able to have another child. So, I named him Neyamenkosi because I want my children to always remember to lean on God,” Dr Ziphozenkosi Mthembu added.
