Chidimma ignores Miss Universe Nigeria
Chidimma Adetshina has reportedly cut ties with the Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant, and she confirmed the news by announcing that she would not attend the pageant.
According to The South African, this was due to her allegiance with a former contestant, Nyekachi Douglas, who revealed that she was forced to withdraw from the competition due to new eligibility rules.
At the time, Adetshina commented under an Instagram post, saying:
"I stand with you! You deserve every opportunity to compete. Tell your story."
At the upcoming ceremony, Chidimma is expected to hand over the crown to the next title holder. With her absence, the organisers are yet to make any further announcements.
SA demands answers from Home Affairs
Chichi's return to Mzansi also prompted a response from an anti-immigration group called Operation Dudula. They took to Facebook on Sunday, 10 August 2025, to disapprove of Chidimma's return to Mzansi.
"Yet, instead of ensuring our laws are upheld, Home Affairs appears to be conducting fake deportations that give the public a false sense of action. Many of these so-called 'removals' seem to be temporary arrests, followed by quiet releases."
"Chidimma Adetshina, a Nigerian who stole South Africa's Identity, is still in South Africa, illegally. Chidimma Adetshina, who was asked by the organisers of the Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant if she is available to contest, told them that she's in Cape Town," they continued.
Chidimma Adetshina lashes at haters

“I find it so sad how a person can't reflect on her journey. I have been receiving so many messages saying, ‘How was your dream shattered?’, ‘You’re being ungrateful’, and so many things," she said.
She spoke about how her plans to win Miss SA were shattered because God had bigger plans for her.
