South African reality TV star Jojo Robinson has been going through difficult times these past few days, and she decided to explain to her followers why she has been off social media.
On Sunday, 24 August 2025, the Real Housewives of Durban cast member who showed off her complete neck tattoo earlier this month opened up to her fans that the reason behind her silence on Instagram was because her husband, Calvin "Boo Bear" Robinson, was rushed to the hospital after a health scare.
In her Instagram story, Jojo revealed that her hubby was hospitalised due to him having a severe prostate infection (prostatitis).
"Sorry I've been so quiet, fam, it's just been a lot these past few days. My Boo Bear got hospitalised for a severe infection in the prostate (prostatitis). It's the worst I have ever seen my poor Boo. Our incredible doctor, Dr Padayachee, made the call to put him in the hospital for five nights to fight the fevers and infection quickly before it got any worse. So my Boo Bear has to remain in the hospital till Wednesday. I literally just sit in the hospital with him all day. I could not bear to think of him alone. He is slowly getting much better, but Friday was really scary," she wrote.

In August 2025, Jojo also gave an update about her husband's cosmetic eyebrow lift surgery due to health reasons. She further shared with her followers his healing journey seven days post-surgery.
"BOO BEAR had an eyebrow lift and blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago, with my favourite and my personal plastic surgeon @drpaulmcgarr. He did it because his vision was impaired from the overhanging skin, so he had to do this surgery to open his eyes up. (I did not ask for nor want this surgery. It was recommended by his eye specialist)," she clarified.

Briefly News previously reported that one of the major transformations in Jojo's life was the collapse of her friendship with Nonku Williams. Having once been thick as thieves, the pair began drifting apart during season five, leaving fans to question what caused the rift.
Sharing similar sentiments from her statement addressing their failed friendship, Jojo said she's glad their paths crossed and wished Nonku well:
"I’m appreciative of the years we spent together and the love I had for her. Unfortunately, people do change, and the things they want in life change, and that’s okay too.
"Perhaps someday we'll reconnect, but for now, I find peace in knowing I loved deeply. The moments we shared felt like sisterhood, and I’m thankful for them. I wish her only love and peace with whoever she chooses."
