Social media user @Nkabiikazii brought the development to netizens’ attention with a post shared on X on Wednesday, 27 August 2025. The social media user shared a screenshot claiming that Cyan Boujee had lost hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers. The post was captioned:

At the time of writing, Cyan Boujee’s account had 898k followers. Taking to her Instagram stories, Cyan Boujee reacted after her TikTok account got cancelled. She asked her followers if they would consider following her on other social media platforms if her Instagram account were to get suspended as well.
