Award-winning actress Nefisa Mkhabela has bid farewell to her House of Zwide co-star, Shalate Sekhabi.

Mkhabela, who portrays the character of Ona Molapo-Zwide on the fashion telenovela, is close friends with Sekhabi on-screen and off-screen.

Sekhabi recently bid farewell to her popular character, Shoki Zwide, after playing the role for 4 years on the eTV show.

Mkhabela shares in an interview with Drum Magazine that Sekhabi's departure from the show was bittersweet.

"When I first heard she'd be leaving, I was so sad," says Mkhabela.

The award-winning actress adds that Sekhabi was someone she specifically remembered starting her journey with.

"She was my first friend I ever made on set. We were inseparable in the beginning," adds the star.

The singer and actress, Shalate Sekhabi, recently honoured her model character, Shoki Zwide, on her Instagram account.

House of Zwide fans bid farewell to Sekhabi's character
