Multi-award-winning telenovela, Muvhango, has officially closed its curtains. The last episode aired on Tuesday, 12 August 2025, at 9 pm on SABC 2, concluding the soapie's undefeated 28-year run.

Taking to Instagram, the Muvhango's official page shared a heartwarming farewell message to its fans.

"Curtains. We want to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have been with us from the very beginning and throughout our journey. We are humbled by the love you’ve shown us all these years. *Sithi thina as a family from Word of Mouth/ Muvhango okungapheli kuyahlola!*

Avid viewers of the show were torn by the last episode. Many people shared that the show is part of their childhood and has created fond memories with it.

Netizens react to weird Muvhango storyline

In a previous report from Briefly News, Muvhango viewers were utterly shocked when popular characters Mulalo and Rendani Mukwevho, who are cousins, had a one-night stand.

They would also conceive a royal baby after their random meetup. Fans of the soapie took to X to criticise the writers of the show and thanked the channel for cancelling the show over the weird storyline.
