The TikTok post of Nelson Mandela's young relative received thousands of likes. People were gushing over the cute Mandela family member.

In a TikTok video shared by @inandaspirit a little boy was answered questions about Nelson Mandela Day. When asked who is Nleson Mandela. the little boy revealed that he is Nelson Mandela's great grandson. The kid answered that Mandela day is special because it is entirely dedicated to his great granddad.

Nelson Mandela's grandson in trouble with law

Briefly News reported on Nelson Mandela's grandson, Mayibuye Mandela, who has been vocal in the politics sphere. In 2025, Mayibuye joined the Economic Freedom Fighters and criticised the ANC. He said the ANC does not facilitate true freedom and has not fulfilled any of its promises after democracy.

Nelson Mandela's grandson also had a close brush with the law after being accused of a hijacking. Five suspects were arrested at Mandela's Houghton house. Mandela's grandson was implicated in the crime which included posession of a firearm after the theft of a Toyota Crolla led SAPS to the Mandela home.

SA remembers love story of Winnie and Nelson Mandela

Briefly News previously reported that Winnie and Nelson Mandela were married for almost four decades. Before the Obamas, the Mandelas were the ultimate Black power couple.

The lovers each had a strong passion for politics and were heavily involved in the fight against apartheid. Because they were apart for most of their marriage, they ended up getting a divorce in 1996.

South Africans shared that Nelson did Madikizela dirty for throwing away almost 40 years of marriage, and believed that he could have done better for her and their two daughters. A TikTokker reminisced about the couple’s good times together in a now-viral post.
