A female runner gets mugged in broad daylight

The crime continues to rise, and this woman has become a victim in this terrifying encounter. The clip, shared by @the_scent_central on 30 July 2025, has since gone viral, gathering many views, likes, comments, and shares on the video-sharing app.

In the footage circulating online, the woman is seen jogging peacefully in what appears to be a residential area. The street is quiet, with no other pedestrians in sight. Moments later, a white car slowly drives past her before coming to a brief stop. A man quickly exits the vehicle and runs toward the woman.

He forcefully grabs an unknown item from her, causing her to fall to the ground. The attacker then dashes back toward the white car, which had turned around to pick him up. Within seconds, the suspect jumps into the vehicle, which then speeds off, leaving the woman on the pavement.

The video has sparked outrage on social media, with many South Africans expressing concern about the rising crime levels in the country. At the time of publication, it is unclear what exactly was stolen during the attack. The individual and authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, and no arrests have been made.

The public remained concerned over the woman who was left lying on the ground, with many asking if she was still alive.
