Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis then realised just how much the ANC comrades enjoy living in the DA-run city. He took a swipe at both President Cyril Ramaphosa and Deputy President Paul Mashatile in a recent Instagram post with the caption:

“Looks like both President Ramaphosa and Deputy President Mashatile enjoy living in the DA-led Cape Town. It must be tough explaining to their ANC ‘comrades’ that life is better in the best-run city in South Africa.”

“This is written as if I were blind and saw no colour. As if race never existed and separated us, and if 100% of South Africans were wealthy with no corruption and crime.

If every city in South Africa were 50% of how Cape Town was run, South Africa would be the best country in the world to live in.”

@shawnvoges highlighted:

“DA, we will continue to vote for you! No one better!”

@geert6306 wrote:

“Yes, they love the Western Cape cause here they get service delivery, as our DA leaders don't discriminate and have a clean audit, they work for the community!”

@marvin_pheiffer asked:

“Can we investigate this? How does Paul afford this mansion?”

@kerry.harrison. Sighed:

“They have no shame.”

@tonybluetooth commented:

“Yes, they don't have to drive on the N2 with rows of lights out and cows and horses.”
