Talk about a steal! A Johannesburg woman struck gold when she spent R259 on a grand Le Creuset whistling kettle worth R3 000. She shared how she managed to nab the bargain.
Tsakane Christa, a TikTok content creator who describes herself as a "lover of all things beautiful and affordable," took to her account and informed the online community that Le Creuset stores offer selected items at up to 40% off on Tuesdays.
"This was already marked down at 30%, so I got 70% off."

Although the slip she showed at the beginning of the video indicated R1 259, the shopper noted that she had over 10 000 Discover Miles.

What are Discovery Miles?
Financial services company Discovery provides a rewards currency, Discovery Miles, which people can earn after spending with Discovery Bank and engaging with their Vitality programmes.
More specifically, people can earn the rewards currency by playing on the Vitality Active Rewards gameboard, shopping in-store and online at Checkers and Woolworths when purchasing HealthyFood items, "spending money well," and filling up their car's tank at selected BP and Shell garages. Lastly, clients can earn on debit orders on Discovery Life Bank Integrated policies.
Clients earn R1 for every 10 Discovery Miles.
