Online users shared their two cents on the American millionaire who met an unfortunate end in South Africa's wilderness. Many people expressed criticism over the ethics behind the millionaire's visit to South Africa.

A Cape buffalo killed an American millionaire hunter in Limpopo. The rancher paid R165,000 to go on a trophy hunting experience. Asher and his guides stalked a large buffalo, which they cornered, and things took a bad turn when it turned on them and charged. The reportedly 200-stone buffalo gored the millionaire, who died on the scene during the Bambinasana hunting concession.

The late Asher's death while hunting for sport sparked discussions about the ethics of the practice. PETA reported that he would often share photos of himself after hunting mountain lions, ducks, and deer, to name a few. Asher Watkins' trophy hunt in South Africa was licensed, and he hunted waterbuck during the trip before his death.
