Soweto’s vibrant food culture has once again left an international visitor in awe. An American man visiting Zone 9 in Soweto, Johannesburg, recently shared his food journey after trying a variety of local dishes, including liver with pap, oxtail, and heart burger.

Taking to his social media account under the handle @trentonjdavis, the tourist who shared a video on TikTok was seen tucking into a plate of pap served with liver, a traditional staple in many South African homes.
While he admitted that liver was not his favourite, he praised the meal for its authenticity, saying he could understand why it remains a popular choice in local households.
