A woman from KwaZulu-Natal has touched hearts across South Africa after gifting her dad a new car in the most surprising way possible.
Facebook user @terenelechic.thomas, who lives in Pietermaritzburg, shared a video in early August showing the moment she surprised her father, Trevor, with a brand new vehicle.
The video shows Terene calling her dad to come outside the house. He walks down the stairs, looking confused, not knowing what to expect. As he gets closer to the gate, he notices a new car parked right in front of his home. What makes it even more special is the personalised number plate that reads her father's name:

Terene stands there holding the car's registration papers, beckoning him to come closer. Her dad looks back and forth between the car and his daughter, clearly shocked by what he's seeing. When she hands him the registration papers and motions that the brand-new Volkswagen is his, he becomes completely speechless.
The surprise was extra meaningful because Trevor had been driving a very old vehicle that was parked in their carport. His daughter had finally saved enough money to buy him a brand new car to replace it. When she handed him the keys, he was so impressed he couldn't find words to express his feelings.
