What did Malema say?
Speaking at the 3rd central command committee meeting in Bela Bela, the EFF leader said that plans to infiltrate the EFF had failed. He said that the so-called alternative organisations that have been formed over the past year failed to destroy the EFF. He referred to the now-defunct Moonshot Pact, previously led by the Democratic Alliance (DA) but dissolved after the 2024 general elections.
Malema, without explicitly naming Umkhonto Wesizwe or the newly established Mayibuye Consultative Process, urged EFF members to disregard attempts to sow division within the party. In a separate remark, Malema, again without directly naming the MK Party, described it as a symbol of incompetence, corruption, and capture by neo-colonial forces.

Malema sends warning
Malema warned that the MK party, led by former president Jacob Zuma, will sell out the country's interests to the highest bidder. He said that EFF is not fighting with the MK party. Malema stated that the EFF only concentrates on building the party.
Commenting on the consultative process spearheaded by his former deputy, Floyd Shivambu, Malema said it is a fully formed political party, despite Shivambu’s public insistence that no final decision has been made.
Malema went on to accuse the Mayibuye initiative of engaging in lazy and cowardly attacks designed to undermine the EFF. Questioning their intentions, he claimed Shivambu and his allies never direct their criticism at racists or capital interests.
