MAKHADO, LIMPOPO — The South African Police Service is investigating a fatal shooting that resulted in one death in Makhado, Limpopo, on 17 August 2025.
According to SABC News, the victim was travelling on the N1 road outside of Makhado when he had a breakdown near the Rondebosch plot. Another motorist stopped his car and reportedly opened fire without warning. The driver was shot in the upper body and head as he was trying to escape. The whereabouts of the other occupants of the car are unknown, and the motive behind the incident remains unknown.
