Ngubane, in a recent interview with KickOff, criticised Kaizer Chiefs' lack of progress in the goalkeeping department, warning that relying solely on Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen could hinder the club's ambitions.

“Kaizer Chiefs haven’t changed at all. If they continue to rely on Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen, then nothing has truly improved,” Ngubane told KickOff.

He stressed the importance of reinforcing the squad with a new goalkeeper, noting that the recent clean sheet against Asante Kotoko shouldn’t mask underlying concerns.

“They kept a clean sheet on Saturday, but that was against a side that struggles to score goals. While Asante Kotoko are not a bad team, they’re made up mostly of young players, I believe all of them are under 23,” he explained.

Ngubane, who attended the match at Moses Mabhida Stadium, said the inexperience of the opposition was evident on the day.

“I watched them closely during my time at Moses Mabhida Stadium, and I could tell their youth was evident.
