"As we saw in the final matches of the previous campaign, I believe Sundowns really need someone like Basadien," Ramagalela told FARPost.
"He can support players like Divine Lunga and Aubrey Modiba, especially with the number of competitions the team is involved in each season.
"Terrence Mashego has struggled for game time, and I think a player of Basadien’s quality would be a valuable addition. He's a Bafana Bafana international with experience in the CAF Confederation Cup, and I believe he could play a key role in helping Sundowns going forward."
Fans react to Basadien's move to Sundowns
MrMhaule said:
"Mina I don't really understand the hype behind the player. He's not a cow yes but he's not proven himself at Sundowns. The hype comes will a heavy load and expectations from fans. I hope he will be able to carry all that wait y'all put on him and don't attack him ngama mistakes."
MokwadiMo wrote:
"From our performance last season as the club we needed depth on that LB. We had Lunga out on injury and Tiwani bottled Nedbank because we thought Modiba was off form. So Bassadien was needed! But Mashego must be released so that he gets game time somewhere."
ace12_skeem asked:
"Why did they sign him when you have Sibiya, Lunga, Mashego and Modiba?"
BonnieMaj2 commented:
"As Sundowns supporters we definitely deserve this signing,if we're being honest.I for one I'm tired of players in our team who don't take us serious."
NNdob3 reacted:
"After 2 years he will be loaned out to some small african team n thats will be it for his career ..there was no need to sign him they were just stopping him from going to the Mighty Bucs."
