Ex Tottenham Star Issues Stern Warning to Kaizer Chiefs After Good Start This Season

Kaizer Chiefs have started the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership on a very good note as they secured all three points in their first two matches.

Nasreddine Nabi's defeated Stellenbosch FC in their first match before getting the better of Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Bongani Khumalo has advised Kaizer Chiefs players not to get ahead of themselves or be carried away by their recent good form.

“It is very good (Chiefs' recent form), but it is important for the players to keep their feet on the ground,” Khumalo said as quoted by KickOff.com. “It is a very long season; it is not a cup competition.”

“So as much as there is joy and there is ease in how they have started, there is still a lot of work to be done. The performance against Stellenbosch was not great, but it was a wonderful result.

“This time [against Polokwane City], the first half was not great, the second half was a lot better.

“So there are signs that something is brewing, so they must remain calm and most importantly, stick together and see it through.”
