“We would like to welcome him to the Kaizer Chiefs family!”

Who is Ighodaro?

Ighodaro has spent the last five seasons in South Africa, having been signed by Mamelodi Sundowns from Abuja College in Nigeria.

Although he never made a first-team appearance for Sundowns, he impressed during loan spells at University of Pretoria, Chippa United, Supersport United, and Amazulu.

Amakhosi’s move signals their intent to build on last season’s Nedbank Cup success and challenge for honours in the 2025–26 season. The addition of Ighodaro strengthens their attacking options, with fans already excited about the potential impact of the new signing.

Fan reactions:

@JoyLethabo8:
