Kaizer Chiefs: A Look Back at What Happened Last Time They Started Season With 3 Straight Wins
- Kaizer Chiefs' good start to the 2025-26 Betway Premiership season is not the first time they've been in such good situation
- The Soweto giants have won their first three games in the league this season, and are yet to concede a goal
- Several things happened the last time Kaizer Chiefs achieved the same feat in the South African league and there's a possibility they achieve the same this campaign
Kaizer Chiefs have had a strong start this season in the Betway Premiership by winning their first three opening matches without conceding a goal.
The Glamour Boys kicked off the season with a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch FC, before following up with a narrow 1-0 victory over Polokwane City, courtesy of a debut goal scored by Siphesihle Ndlovu, who joined the club this summer.

The Soweto giants are on nine points, the same as Sekhukhune United, but Babina Noko retains the number one spot on the log after scoring more goals than Amakhosi.
One of the surprising details in Kaizer Chiefs' blistering start this season is that they are playing without their first-team coach, Nasreddine Nabi.

The former AS FAR Rabat head coach recently travelled back to Tunisia to attend to a family emergency, but he is expected to return for the Mamelodi Sundowns match.
Last time Chiefs won their first three matches in the League
This is not the first time Kaizer Chiefs have started a league season with three consecutive victories in their opening fixtures. The last time they did that was in the 2014-15 season under the guidance of Stuart Baxter.
The former Bafana Bafana head coach ended up leading the Glamour Boys to the Betway Premiership title, and they were the best team by all statistics except the number of goals scored that season.
In 30 matches that campaign, Amakhosi won 21 games, drew six, and lost just three, while also scoring 41 goals and conceding 14.
They racked up 69 points out of a possible 90, while the runner-up, Mamelodi Sundowns, finished with 57 points.
Since then, Kaizer Chiefs have failed to win the league and ended their trophy drought last season by winning the Nedbank Cup after defeating bitter rivals Orlando Pirates in the final of the competition.
Nabi's side is rated as one of the favourites to win the league this season, alongside Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates.

If the Soweto-based club continue their good start this season in their next match against Sundowns at the FNB Stadium, it would send a clear message to other teams that the Glamour Boys are back to their best.
Chiefs coach explains tactical risk he took against Bay
Briefly News earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef explained the tactical gamble he took that sealed all three points for Amakhosi against Richards Bays on Tuesday evening.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino came from the bench to score the only goal that cemented Chiefs' winning run this season.
