The former Polokwane City star has continued to impress since joining the Soweto giants this summer from their Premier Soccer League rivals.

The South African forward produced two assists in the match, with another summer signing, Tshepang Moremi, also scoring his first goal for the Soweto giants since joining them from AmaZulu FC.

Appollis has pulled up amazing performance since in his first game for the Bucs against Polokwane City, and his displays since joining the Sea Robbers earned him a place in Hugo Broos' latest Bafana Bafana squad.

Appollis opens up on what Ouaddou told Pirates stars

After the match, Appollis opened up about what Ouaddou told the Pirates stars, which led to their deserved win over Chippa United.

The South African international also appreciated the entire team's performance against the Chilli Boys.

"First of all, credit to the entire team. We came here looking for a win, and we got it even though it wasn’t easy," he told SuperSport TV.
"In the second half, we found our rhythm and managed to score more goals.
"The coach told us to press them high because winning the ball in their half would bring us closer to the goal, and that’s exactly what we did today."
