Siya Kolisi Reacts to Springboks’ Defeat Against Australia, Apologises to Fans
Springboks captain Siya Kolisi has commented on South Africa's surprising defeat against Australia in the Rugby Championship at Ellis Park this weekend.
The Wallabies turned around a 22–0 deficit at the 18th minute to a 38–22 win as they edged out Rassie Erasmus' men.
South Africa started the match on a good note by scoring three successive tries, but they were unable to hold on to the lead.

Speaking after the match, Kolisi shared his thoughts on the Springboks' performance and rued their mistake in throwing away a 22-0 lead in the game.
The 34-year-old admitted that their performance wasn't good enough and was widely unacceptable.

"We really let ourselves down, and we have to own that," said the Springbok captain after the match.
"It's simply not good enough. You start strong, then ease off — that’s not acceptable at this level. It just isn’t."
He also spoke about their second leg clash next week while also rating Fraser McReight for his performance in the match.
"We'd fight our way into their 22, only for them to turn the ball over. It's what they do — and they do it well," he added.
"You saw Fraser McReight nail it; he was outstanding and deserved Man of the Match.
"It’s tough to explain. We lost momentum, took our foot off the gas, and they capitalised. Credit to Australia, they kept coming at us and deserved the win."
Kolisi ended by appreciating the supporters and also offered an apology after their poor performance, but promised a better outing next week.
“Thank you to everybody who supported us. Sorry about the performance, but we’ll come again next week,” he concluded.
