The Glamour Boys won all their first three matches in the league this season, with the last time they achieved that being in the 2014-15 season, when they won the league title.

Amakhosi will come up against Mamelodi Sundowns in the next match in the league, a team that defeated them home and away last campaign, but they got the better of the Brazilians in the Nedbank Cup when a controversial goal by Ashley du Preez qualified them for the final.

The Soweto giants will host the defending champions at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, and a win would give them the much-needed confidence and a chance to extend their lead at the top of the log.

"I am not totally convinced with Kaizer Chiefs' perfect start so far in the league this season, as they looked like a ticking bomb; a good team could get their chances against them," he said.
"It's good to start well, but Amakhosi's performance has not been solid for them to be rated as favourites going into a game against Mamelodi Sundowns.

"Sundowns also have their issues, but I think they are still better coordinated than Chiefs this season, and I still see them as favourites to win the match personally."

Anuma, while picking Sundowns as his favourites to win the game, also believes there's a slim chance for Kaizer Chiefs to get a positive result against the champions.

"Kaizer Chiefs have a little chance of getting a win, which is down to how they've started the season. Winning three games in a row is not an easy feat to come by," he added.
"A draw would be a very good result for Chiefs, but I think if they take their chances they might get more than a draw in the match because Sundowns have not been invisible this season like they were last term."
